So you want to know about me?

Well, always the best way to find out is simply ask, or better yet get to know me. Promise I won't bite.

I'm in love with life, in love and loved.

I strive to see beauty in the otherwise ugly. I love fun. Spontaneous anything will always get my blood pumping. Music and concert junkie. Nature freak. Have weird tastes in certain things. Art = hobby , science = occupation (someday).

Get to know me. I'll try not to disappoint.

Starting a Newsletter

Journal Entry: Thu Mar 5, 2015, 10:09 PM

~

Hey folks!

ShePaintsWithBlood has totally inspired me to create my own monthly newsletter! Hers is completely gorgeous and when the first one popped up in my email inbox I had one of those "OHMYGOD YESSS" moments. So naturally I had to start the process as well.

Signing up for my newsletter means that you will receive one email per month (no spam here) containing little peeks into my world. There will be some artwork sneak peeks that are in the works, as well as discussion topics, news about where I can be found locally (such as conventions, etc), giveaways and raffles, and other exciting stuff that may be happening.

I've started to subscribe to a few artists' newsletters and they're super awesome to read through.

So if you're interested, drop me a note with your email and you will be on the list. My first one should be going out sometime next week!

And just to ensure that all bases are covered, your email will not be sold, or used for nasty stuff that nobody likes.

Your artwork is amazing! ^.^
If only one could give multiple llamas... XD

Ugh, I'm not allowed to spend money online D: Mind you, I don't get pocket money either. If I did, I'd probably spend it all commissions from you and all the other amazing artists here. Or art supplies.

Is there any tips you can give to amateur artists like myself?
I mean, I'd love to learn how to draw as well as you do, but being poor, I can't afford to spend money on art courses and so I'm (so far) self taught. I've tried looking at the works of good artists and trying out their techniques, and I practice every day for at least a few hours, but my art isn't improving as dramatically as I'd like it to.

Thank you for the sweet comment!

Hey I'm self-taught so you definitely don't need any fancy expensive art lessons. C:
Something I love doing is searching for tutorials. Deviantart has a very extensive collection from artists (Browse -> Resources & stock images ->Tutorials). You would be surprised how many awesome tips and tricks you can find, for a huge range of subjects.
Practice is of course very important as well.
