Whew, here it is. The final version of [link]

This didn't take as long as I thought it would, but then again, when you work in huge block intervals of 5+ hours to get it done...
My camera picked up on some weird textures that aren't nearly as obvious on the actual piece. Weird.

I still need to fix a few things before I send this away, but I'm pretty pleased with how it came out.
And there you go Eva, there is your eye. xP My very last step.

I just realized how terrible the quality is of the photo. I'll get a better one tomorrow when it's actually LIGHT

Music sure does wonders for art. I'm pretty sure the only things I listened to while working on this was stuff by Maynard James Keenan (Tool, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, and "Passenger" by Deftones featuring MJK), Trivium, and Three Days Grace's new album (gave each of their songs a once-over, then let them be. They've definitely lost something...makes me sad. :c)
Tool especially has a certain magic that will allow me to work for hours without losing focus. Or allows me to work without flipping through songs. Any Tool song is earcandy. <3

WORK IN PROGRESS IS HERE : [link]

And comments are extremely appreciated!

Judging by your current amount of skill, that should be no problem whatsoever. :)

It is quite the pain. But this wouldn't fit in my scanner, but my scanner has a tendency to suck the life out of things anyway.
Thanks

Impeccable work on this piece, great job. & I agree, Tool is one of my favorite bands to work to, their music is almost... ethereal.

So this was the piece you were talking about, eh? :P

I have to say, beautiful. The colours, the details, the fantastic textures - wow. The nose even has that...blobby/leather texture to it!

The eye is most lovely though. I love the depth it has, and that little shine to it just brings it to life! Fantastic job, dear. You can really see how much you put into this. <3

(And I'd be interested in WIP images too! 8D)

Yep, this was the piece. Time-suckin' piece.
I'm really pleased with how the eye came out myself. I leave the eyes completely blank until the very end, so it's really neat to see how much the piece will transform once you colour the eyes.

Lawl my mind has been surrounded by zombies lately. I'm reading World War Z by Max Brooks, which is based on a zombie apocalypse (ITS AMAZING) and I watched Resident Evil last night. xD

Aww, this really turned out beautifully. It is completely precious. I love all the detailing, the fur is amazing. I really like the way you shaded the nose. Noses are soooo tough for me to get looking realistic, how do you do it? The eye looks lovely too. I tend to do eyes last as well (mostly because I am not really that into eyes usually) but this one looks so full of life. The gazing expression is amazing too.

I am so new to listening to Three Days Grace and I only started as I wanted to review it for a family member I was planning on buying it for. I am sad to hear you are not fond of the new album.... I would definitely be interested in WIP pictures of this or anything.:blackrose:

All this support is really heart-warming, and the person who commissioned me absolutely loved it, so I'm happy.

Gah, noses are hard. I just worked in really light layers, and lots of them. I completely avoided the lightest spots until I worked them over with the lightest colours.
