Should I do something for a background? I was thinking perhaps just a simple wash that fades to the edges, but I'm not sure.

I was getting discouraged over this piece (very little feedback, a personal 'ick' feeling, etc) so I decided to just take the leap and paint this baby with colour. Yes I did ruin my lines, so I had to go back over the majority of them with black ink again. But I like this effect so much more.
New title too, yay!
This piece was totally inspired by TwiggX, she's a stunning model and I was inspired by the colour of her hair. Although her photo is available as stock, part of her rules were prints/profit cannot be made without her written consent, so I noted her a couple months ago and haven't received a reply yet, so I had to change the reference 'cause stealing is bad.
So this beautiful face was my reference : [link]I really need to practice my humans... :C
So the final piece was sketched with a light blue pencil, then painted with black India Ink, an opaque white ink, and watercolour paints for the colour.
Enjoy! And feedback would be hugely appreciated, I put a lot of hard work into this piece and quite like it.
