Here is the finished piece of

A commission for a couple that my grandma knows that just lost their Greyhound to their pool. Sad story makes me sad. :c

I was touched that they turned to me to immortalize their beloved pet, so I was more than willing to squeeze their commission in.

Done on an 8"x10" piece of white bristol, completely done with acrylic paints.

How does this only have 5 comments. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE UNIVERSE? I LOVE these dog pictures you keep doing! This is SO pretty too! I love the sweet soft face and those shiny deep brown eyes. The ears too are really cute! I love their short and sort of cropped look! The fur detail too is AWESOME. You definitely pulled off that bristley look that greyhounds have! Definitely a job well done!

I'm SO so sorry about the dog though. That's a really terrible way to go. Pass your condolences on for me <3.

Gorgeous painting. I'm in love with the eyes
Seeing your acrylic paintings always makes me feel better about working with them when all of my classmates are using oils, haha.

That's too bad about their dog...Makes me sad too. :(

BUT I definitely think that this drawing will help ease the pain. You've really done a beautiful job with the colors and details in the fur (and everything else!). This was a very nice thing that you did, and it turned out great...Keep up the hard work! :)
